Basant Panchami was celebrated with great pomp and show on 1st February 2017 in the Vidyalaya. This was inaugurated by Ms. Madhulika Dolare (I/C Principal) & Mr. T.S. Rahangdale (PGT Physics) by lighting the lamp and garlanding goddess Saraswati.

The quarterly meeting of Vidyalaya Management Committee of Kendriya Vidyalaya was held on 11.01.2017. Shri Bharat Yadav, IAS, Dist. Magistrate & Collector and Chairman VMC KV Balaghat chaired the meeting where all important issues regarding the development of Vidyalaya were discussed.

The Vidyalaya has a half group of 50 cadets. On every Saturday the parade takes place in the Vidyalaya under the supervision of the NCC Battalion. The cadets are being taught about drill, weapon and map reading. So that they can take up their career in the Armed forces. Sh. Shrawan Bodele (TGT English) has recently completed his training at OTA Kamptee.

“Language never knows the geographical boundaries”. The saying comes true when 10 students of the Vidyalaya participated in German Language Camp held at Raipur on 28 and 29 September 2016.
To develop scientific temperament, to encourage the pupils for inno0vation & experimentation in science & enabling them to apply the concepts in day to day life a Vidyalaya Leve Science Exhibition was held on 29 November 2016. Students from class V to X prepared their exhibits based on the subthemes provided. Shree Umashankar Patle, Lecturer Chemistry & Shree Sharad Jyotishi, Lecturer Physics graced the occasion as being the judges. The best entries will participate in Regional Level Science Exhibition.
The Library Week was celebrated from 11/11/2016 to 23/11/2016 in our Vidyalaya. This was inaugurated by issuing books from the library. Different types of Cultural programmes, Story telling and Quiz programme, Story writing program, Slogan writing, designing of bookmark, designing of title page of book, extempore speech, Career counselling, Guidance and counselling and awareness programmes were conducted.
The Flag Day was observed in the Vidyalaya on 07/11/2016. Programme was inaugurated with the lightning of lamp by Ms. Madhulika Dolare, I/C Principal KV Balaghat. Various activities were performed by the students in the motivating guidance by Scout & Guide Teachers.
To aware the students and staff about their duties and right as being a checkpoint to eliminate corruption from our life a vigilance and awareness week is being observed in the vidyalaya from 31/10/2016 to 05/11/2016. On the inaugural day the vidyalaya took an oath for being vigilance & aware.

A team of eminent educationist comprising of Shree K. Saseendran, AC Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Raipur region, and others visited Vidyalaya on 19/10/2016 for its Annual Academic Inspection.
To familiarize parents with the progress of their wards an interactive Parents Teacher Meeting was organized in the Vidyalaya on 04 to 06 October 2016, wherein the results of Term-I was dispersed at length and also the parents were made acquainted with the procedure of Shaladarpan. The username and passwords of the students were also provided.

The Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great pomp and show in the Vidyalaya. Tributes were paid to Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. Speeches/ Poems focusing on the importance and role of teachers was presented in the Morning Assembly. Cultural programmes and friendly Cricket match between teachers and students were organized.

The Sanskrit week celebration was conducted form 16th Aug 2016 to 22nd Aug 2016 in our Vidyalaya. The week was inaugurated by Principal Mr. P. Ramakrishna on 16.08.2016 by garlanding Saraswati Devi and lighting the lamp. The Morning Assembly was conducted in Sanskrit Language throughout the Week. Different types of Sanskrit programmes conducted.

A Cultural Exchange Tour of some representatives from KVS at National Level, to Germany, was organized by GOETHE Institute, Munich Germany. It’s a matter of great pride that Mr. P. Ramakrishna, Principal KV Balaghat was one among the 10 Principals and Ms. Shubdha Borkar student of Class IX ‘B’ was one among the 18 students who visited Germany from 17/07/2016 to 23/07/2016.

This Vidyalaya level Social Science Exhibition was conducted on 01/08/2016. Students activily participated in the same with their exhibits and album on survey report and chart of Andhra Pradesh and Sri Lanka.
The Swachch Vidyalaya Abhiyan is being conducted in the Vidyalaya ,as per the instructions of KVS, on regular basis.
Second monthly test for class XII and first monthly test for class XI are scheduled to be conducted from 05/08/2016 to 12/08/2016.
The CCA inauguration and institution ceremony was conducted in the Vidyalaya with full enthusiasm on 02/08/2016. Chief guest Mr. Narendra Singh, Deputy Commandant awarded slashes and badges to the office beavers of the student council.
